Saucony Grid Raider

Choosing the wrong kind of running shoe can compromise comfort and support; and picking the best depends on the type of support the runner needs, and how the runner runs. If the runner is a supinator or has a neutral gait, Saucony’s solution is the Grid Raider.

The Saucony Grid Raider features the Grid Control System in the heel which provides a unique underfoot cushioning sensation that offers comfort mile after mile. For additional support, the Saucony utilizes the High Rebound Compund (HRC) Strobel Board. It also has the air mesh upper with synthetic overlays for lightweight breathability. The midsole has the Injection Molded EVA for increased shock attenuation upon impact, and a cushioned and durable running shoes. The Raider also features a carbon rubber outsole material, XT-600, that has outstanding abrasion and traction properties without sacrificing durability.

Most wear-testers appreciated the snug fit in the heel and the roomy toebox, although narrow-footed runners disagree. These pair from Saucony gives the prefect amount of support without being too heavy.

The Saucony Grid Raider running shoes, retailing for $80 or cheaper on online stores, is highly recommended for neutral runners and supinators that want a cushioned shoe but also seeking a bit of control.

The women’s version is on sale for significantly off retail at only $52 USD. Check out if they have your size.
